Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been left hung out to dry by UEFA this season.
The Mirror says as of next season UEFA will allow players to compete for two different clubs in the same European cup competition.
Currently, January signings are not permitted to play for a second club in the Champions League or Europa League if they have already featured in that competition.
The rule change will be beneficial for big clubs hoping to strengthen their side when the knock-out stages of the two European competitions begin next season.
But for Arsenal, rule change has come in to play a little too late for their liking.
The Gunners have not been allowed to field former Borussia Dortmund striker Aubameyang in their run to the Europa League quarter-finals this season
