The young Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom has admitted that he was intoxicated while behind the wheel of his luxury car when he crashed on the morning of December 17th.
Akpom was driving at around 4:50am on the 17th and he smashed his car into a fence near a home in Barnet.
Police soon arrived on the scene and administered a breath test to Akpom, who failed it. He was above the legal limit while he was behind the wheel. Akpom was charged by the police with drink driving.
The played admitted his mistake after consuming one too many vodka and cranberry juice drinks the previous night.
The incident will not help Akpom's chances of getting into the Arsenal first team picture, with the player only having a solitary appearance to his name in an Arsenal shirt.
