Barcelona midfielder Toure says his brother, Arsenal defender Kolo, 27, and boss Wenger have both made phone calls to try and persuade him to make the switch to the Gunners.

Toure rejected the chance to join his brother at Arsenal last summer.

Toure insisted: "Wenger and Kolo called in the summer to convince about this chance - but at that moment I was happy at Barcelona."

And Toure's agent Dimitri Selluk said: "Yaya does not have a problem with Barcelona, but his only desire is to play regularly and therefore he wants to see if he is in their plans."

Selluk claims that Arsenal had an offer turned down in the summer, while Juventus are ready to pay £7.5million for the Ivory Coast international.
