Arsenal have tabled a bumper deal to Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira. The Daily Express says the Gunners have already held talks with Khedira over a January move, according to reports in Spain.
With Real prepared to cut their losses with Khedira's contract expiring next summer, he is thought to be available for £12million.
Reports suggest Arsenal have made the first move over rivals Chelsea and offered the 27-year-old a £100,000-a-week deal to come to the Emirates.
With Mesut Ozil out until 2015 with a knee injury, Wenger knows he needs reinforcements in midfield.
