DC United are discussing sending youngster Andy Najar to Europe for trials.

The 17 year-old midfielder is wanted by Arsenal and could be given the green light to train with the London giants later this year.

"It's more soccer and more intensity than he has had in his life, so he may need to take a little break," United General Manager Dave Kasper told the Washington Post. "But there are opportunities, experiences that we might decide are best for him.

"We have talked about it internally and we will sit down with Andy in the next couple of weeks."
