Arsenal star Yankey thrilled with letter from Norwich boss Hughton

Arsenal's womens football star Rachel Yankey was delighted to receive a congratulatory letter from Norwich City boss Chris Hughton.

Yankey was left thrilled beyond words when a letter from Hughton arrived, congratulating her on reaching 125 caps to equal Peter Shilton's all-time best for an England international.

"He wrote me a lovely letter," she said.

"I had spoken to him before at an event - I can't even remember where it was and it wasn't for very long, so I was overwhelmed and I was genuinely speechless when the letter arrived.

"He sent one to St George's Park (the FA's training base) and one to Arsenal to make sure I got it.

"He congratulated me on my achievement in getting 125 caps and told me I was a credit to the game and that what I had done for women's football was unbelievable.

"I got to meet him when I played in a charity game and he was the manager and I thanked him and he was a really classy, inspiring guy."
