Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is weighing up whether to hand Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a new deal.
The Independent says the Gunners were said to be willing to let the Ox leave in the summer, but the player opted to stay and fight for his future at the Emirates.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has started four times for Arsenal this season but has been substituted in all of them.
Wenger doesn't believe the England international, 22, has made sufficient progress at Arsenal since joining the club in 2011 from Southampton as a 17-year-old.
