Manchester United have stepped back from talks for Bordeaux striker Malcom.
The 20-year-old has established himself as one of Europe's hottest prospects since joining Les Girondins from Corinthians two years ago.
But the Manchester Evening News says while two unnamed clubs are currently in talks to sign Malcom, United are definitely not one of them.
Arsenal and Tottenham are also interested in the Brazilian.
Traditionally, United boss Jose Mourinho does not tend to do business in January - unless the right player becomes available.
