Arsenal, Spurs kick West Ham into action over Sears

West Ham are battling to keep Freddie Sears away from Premiership rivals.

The Sun says the Hammers plan to offer whizkid Sears a long-term deal in a bid to stave off interest from Arsenal and Tottenham.

The home-grown striker, 18, only signed a two-and-a-half-year contract in March.

But now the Hammers want to speak to him about a five-year deal when they return from their North American tour.
