Arsenal, Spurs encouraged in battle for Marseille's Nasri

Arsenal and Tottenham have been encouraged by Samir Nasri's refusal to discuss a new deal at Olympique Marseille.

Spurs chief Damien Comolli is a big fan of Nasri, who has been likened to Zinedine Zidane, while Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been following the youngster for well over four years.

Nasri's current deal expires next summer and it's emerged he is baulking at discussing new terms. This summer's market would represent the last chance for Marseille to earn a fee from Nasri's sale.
