Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas wants to offload defender Alex in January.

The Sun says he has not been impressed by Alex since taking over in the summer.

The Brazilian has not played since he was sent off against Fulham in the Carling Cup and did not even make the 20-man squad for last month's Champions League trip to Valencia.

Arsenal and Tottenham could make a bid for Alex, while Russian big-spenders Anzhi Makhachkala and Terek Grozny are both interested.
