Arsenal have sounded out Toulouse about Moussa Sissoko's availability.
The People says Sissoko broke into the France team late last year and a queue of clubs have watched him, including Arsenal.
Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus have regularly watched him as well as Bayern Munich, forcing Toulouse president Olivier Sadran to insist he wouldn't be sold for less than £27m.
In line with his growing profile, Toulouse gave Sissoko a new contract last November and he signed a one-year extension tying him to the club until 2013.
But Arsenal are understood to have already made preliminary inquiries about a deal.
