Arsenal will slap in an opening bid in the coming days for West Ham United defender Winston Reid.
The Daily Star Sunday says the Gunners will make a cheeky £3million bid for Reid after Sam Allardyce revealed he has "no future" at Upton Park.
And the Hammers are ready to take the money in the transfer window rather than allow New Zealand star Reid, 26, to make a move to The Emirates on a free transfer in the summer.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to boost his rearguard and will offer Reid a four-year, £60,000-a-week, deal.
