Arsenal skipper Van Persie urged to end Adebayor feud

Arsenal skipper Robin van Persie has been urged to end his feud with Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor. The Daily Express says after publicly hitting out at the Togo international, Van Persie blanked Adebayor when Arsenal met City in April 2010. They did not face each other last season.

Van Persie has still not spoken to Adebayor, 27, and his opinion of him has not changed, but the clubs have appealed for calm at White Hart Lane.

It is unclear whether Gunners captain Van Persie will shake hands, but a source close to the player last night said he was hopeful there will be a reluctant truce.
