Arsenal skipper Van Persie happy sharing Chelsea triumph with fans

Arsenal captain Robin van Persie says he's happy to share his joy with the fans.

Van Persie gave his shirt to a delighted Arsenal fan after victory at Chelsea.

"You could see what it meant to us at full-time [at Chelsea] and I wanted to share that with the fans," he told the Official Arsenal Matchday Programme.

"I wanted the team and the fans to come together. They have really been helping us lately - they have been great. Even during the game on Saturday when we were behind, and when we were brought back to 3-3 our fans were really supporting us. So that's why I went straight for them when I scored and again at full-time.

"Before that game we had won seven out of eight matches, but everyone was looking for the big one. Don't get me wrong, every game is big, but this was extra big because everyone was looking at us to see if we could do it, away at somewhere like Chelsea.

"It was a crazy game, but in the end it was all good for us because we got the win, but we also sent out a message to the world, because I don't think many teams can score five away to Chelsea."
