Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas hailed his teammates for an 'outstanding' display following their 3-0 win over Manchester City at Eastlands on Sunday. The Spanish midfielder led his side back to second on the table with a near faultless display (besides his 40th minute penalty miss) and was full of praise for the playing group in the post-match.
"I think we played some outstanding football and it's difficult to stop a side when they play at that tempo," he told Sky Sports 1.
"It's very difficult what to know what will happen (over the rest of the season) and we have an important game on Wednesday (against Newcastle in the Carling Cup), but it's a good victory against a good team."
Man City had defender Deryck Boyata sent off in the 5th minute of the contest but Fabregas believes Arsenal's man advantage was not a huge factor.
"Even if they were 15 and we were 11 we would still go and win," he added. "We always want to go forward and create chances but the way we played today, we were very difficult to stop. I think we were fantastic."
