Olivier Giroud admits joining Arsenal and playing in the Premier League is a dream come true.

Giroud is a lifelong fan of the Premier League and admits he cannot wait to test himself and try to "create history" with Arsenal.

"For me it's the best league in the world among the five big countries. That's why I chose Arsenal and that's why I dreamt about playing here," the 6ft 3in striker told Arsenal Player.

"Also the environment appeals to me - the fans, the full stadiums, the different mentality here. So I'm happy to be able to discover this league.

"It's about the fervour around football here. The [supporters] come as a family, they're very passionate, it's in their blood. They live football, eat football and sleep football. It's different to France.

"There is a nice sporting challenge as well at Arsenal, and I will play to create history and enjoy myself and give pleasure to the fans. I think that the Premier League corresponds well with me."
