Arsenal signing Mathieu Flamini has explained leaving AC Milan over the summer.
Flamini has told France Football that AC Milan offered him a two-year deal to remain at the San Siro, but that he wanted the security of a three-year contract - which he was eventually offered by former club Arsenal.
"The fact Arsene Wenger is at the club was a very important element in my choice, because he knows me very well and played an important role in my career," he revealed.
