Arsenal are moving for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Daily Mail says their bid to persuade Bayer Leverkusen to part with Lars Bender is proving difficult, so the Gunners are now ready to turn to Southampton's Schneiderlin in their search for a defensive midfielder.
Arsenal also tried for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, but his £40 million valuation has put them off.
