Arsenal have dropped their interest in Juventus star Arturo Vidal, with reports suggesting William Carvalho is now Arsene Wenger's primary midfield target.
The Gunners on Monday unveiled Petr Cech as their first signing of the summer, and there had been suggestions a deal for Juventus star Arturo Vidal was close to being confirmed.
However, the Daily Star is reporting that Wenger has instead turned his focus towards Portuguese star Carvalho, 23, with a £20million bid said to be in the pipeline.
Last seasons' runners up Manchester City are also said to be interested in the Sporting Lisbon man.
