Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has sought first refusal for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
The People says Arsene Wenger has asked Real Madrid for first option on Morata next summer after being frustrated in his attempts to sign the young Spaniard on loan in January.
Wenger had hoped the 21-year-old would ease the burden for goals on Olivier Giroud but Real boss Carlo Ancelotti has blocked the player's exit.
The Bernabeu giants will reassess Morata's situation at the end of the season but his manager wants to keep him available for the rest of the campaign.
Real will consider selling him to the Gunners with a buy-back option inserted into any agreement.
