Arsenal are weighing up a move for SC Freiburg fullback Oliver Sorg.
The Germany U21 international enjoyed an outstanding campaign last season with Freiburg.
Gunners scouts posted to see Freiburg midfielder Matthais Ginter have been impressed by Sorg and recommended him to manager Arsene Wenger this summer.
Wenger is sitting on a transfer warchest of £70 million.
