Jack Wilshere will not play for Great Britain at this summer's Olympic Games after Stuart Pearce did not to include him on the 35-man provisional list.
The 20-year old missed the entire season with an ankle injury and was initially selected in Pearce's 80-man Team GB squad but he was not included in the second last roster for the London Games.
The decision is likely to thrill Gunners boss Arsene Wenger who was hoping Wilshere would not be taken to the Games so he can focus on recovering for next season.
