Jack Wilshere says he still has a little bit to go in order to reach full fitness for both club and country.
The Arsenal midfielder was used sparingly for England in their World Cup qualifiers last week after falling ill and admits he still needs a few matches to get back to 100% ahead of vital fixtures with the Three Lions next month.
"I'd probably say I'm 85-90 per cent fit, I've not played many 90 minutes," the 21-year old told the Sunday Mirror after putting in a full 90 in Arsenal's 3-1 win at Sunderland on Saturday.
"I came off for Arsenal against Tottenham because I was ill and I got two 60 minutes under my belt for England.
"It takes time to get to 100 per cent again. It takes five or six 90 minutes, then you start feeling strong.
"I feel good, but I've got that bit extra to go."
Wilshere is determined to be back to his best by the time England face Montenegro and Poland at Wembley on October 11 and 15 respectively which could secure their ticket to Brazil 2014.
