Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has denied claims that he is close to signing the likes of Yann M’Vila or Junior Hoilett.

The Gunners boss has already secured Lukas Podolski from FC Cologne and is reported to be in advanced talks with Rennes midfielder M’Vila whilst Blackburn Rovers winger Hoilett is also being heavily linked.

But Wenger says that he has not yet spoken to any player about a possible move to the Emirates Stadium.

“It's not true, [there is no interest] at the moment,” he told the club’s official website.

“We have not been in touch with anybody, we have not made any offer to anybody and we are nowhere near to buying anybody at the moment. We are focused on our final game of the season.”
