Arsenal's Wenger concedes: It's too late to catch Chelsea

Arsene Wenger has said conceded that Arsenal are 'too far' behind Chelsea in the Premier League title race this season.

The Gunners moved to within seven points of the table toppers after the last round of results, but Chelsea still have a game in hand on their rivals.

Chelsea's remaining fixtures include clashes with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and the Gunners, with the game against the north Londoners being an away fixture for Jose Mourinho's side.

However, Wenger has cooled suggestions of a late title push despite the Gunners' incredible run of good form. Arsenal have won 12 of their last 13 Premier League matches since the New Year's Day defeat at the hands of Southampton at St. Mary's.

Wenger said: "We are still too far from Chelsea, but will give everything to win our (Premier League) games and come back as close as possible."

Arsenal, who face Monaco in the Champions League on Tuesday night, next meet 11th-placed Newcastle United at St James' Park on March 21 in the Premier League.
