Arsenal’s Wenger calm over Bendtner performance
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has not got himself too worked up about Nicklas Bendtner’s hat-trick against FC Porto on Wednesday night.
As the Gunners cruised into the quarter-finals with a 5-0 demolition of the Portuguese side, Bendtner turned around his average showing in the league on Saturday to inspire the team to a win.
But Wenger was not getting too carried away, saying he hopes the Dane continues to work hard to get the results.
"I hope it will not give him too much confidence," he told Sky Sports 2.
"It's good for him. He played well on Saturday but missed chances. Today he had less chances and scored more goals.
"I hope it gives him the desire to work even harder."
