Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made the strongest indication yet that Japanese starlet Ryo Miyaichi will get his chance on the first team this season.
The Gunners signed the 18-year old in January but immediately loaned him to Dutch club Feyenoord Rotterdam for the second part of last season.
However, this time around, Wenger has suggested that the talented winger could develop further if introduced to the senior Gunners squad.
"Ryo has been a fantastic surprise to us," Wenger said.
"He did well at Feyenoord after basically coming from school football.
"He is a very exciting prospect because he is quick and has a quick brain."
