Arsenal's Walcott: I'm still growing up

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott admits he is still growing up and still developing his game at the top level.

There has been much said and written about the 22-year old, who had so much pressure heaped on him at the beginning of his career, but he has made it clear that he still has plenty to learn in both life and in football.

"I am growing up. I want to express how I am feeling, what I want, what I want to achieve," he said.

"That's why I am enjoying my football and getting more out of myself.

"A couple of years ago I wasn't the player I could have been.

"Injuries were part of that. But I want to show people I do care.

"I want to prove a lot of people wrong and reach the top of my game. There is a lot more to come from me."
