Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo is edging closer to a loan move to Bordeaux.
Reports suggest that the 21-year old will spend the remainder of the season with Les Girondins as he goes about continuing his development in a first team environment.
Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud told French radio Soir de Foot that former Auxerre youngster Sanogo had chosen his club and a deal would be complete sometime this week.
"He wants to come to us - it's a certainty," said Triaud.
"We are working on Sanogo's arrival and the goal is to have him available for the Monaco game on Sunday.
"We asked for Arsenal to keep us informed. They have given me a response date of either Tuesday or Wednesday and I have explained to them that I would prefer Tuesday."
Sanogo arrived at Arsenal in the summer of 2013 and has made 20 appearances in all competitions, scoring just one goal.
