Lukas Podolski and Lars Bender both netted doubles as Germany defeated Ecuador 4-2 in an international friendly in Florida on Wednesday.
The Arsenal striker scored his first goals for Die Mannschaft in almost a year, opening the scoring within ten seconds of kick-off by firing home after some slack defending from Ecuador.
Bayer Leverkusen's Bender doubled the lead when he side-footed home a pass from debutant Sidney Sam before Podolski added a third with another emphatic finish, this time from a Max Kruse layoff.
Then it was 4-0 when Bender drilled home from distance after being found by Roman Neustadter and all this before the 25-minute mark.
It appeared as though it could be a very dirt night for the Ecuadorians but they managed to save face with Manchester United's Antonio Valencia well-struck effort just before half-time.
Later, Ecuador grabbed a second through Walter Ayovi who saw his free-kick palmed into the back of the net by Rene Adler to give the South Americans some sort of positivity after a disastrous opening.
