Arsenal's Per Mertesacker, Bayern Munich's Philipp Lahm and Lazio's Miroslav Klose have all been honoured by Deutscher Fussball-Bund (DFB) for their service to the German national team.
The German football association handed awards to the trio and gave them a guard of honour before Die Mannschaft's friendly with Argentina at Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf on Wednesday night.
Former captain Lahm, all-time leading scorer Klose and central defender Mertesacker all called time on their international careers after Germany beat Argentina 1-0 in the World Cup final in July.
Lahm made 113 caps and scored five goals, Klose netted 71 times in 137 outings (including a record 16 goals at World Cups) and Mertesacker played 104 times for Germany.
