Olivier Giroud has been pulled out of the France squad for Friday's World Cup qualifier against Finland.
The Arsenal striker has sustained a muscular problem whilst training with the Les Bleus squad this week with manager Didier Deschamps confirming his exit from the roster for the Group I opener in Helsinki but suggesting he could play against Belarus in Saint-Denis on Tuesday.
"He will work apart [from the squad], which will allow him to play the next match [against Belarus]," said Deschamps.
"Considering it's a muscle problem, it is better to give him more time. I would have preferred Olivier at full fitness, but [football] is like that."
