Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby says he can understand the frustrations being felt by supporters at the moment.
The Gunners took their trophyless run to six seasons with a barren campaign and Diaby admits that the fans have every reason to be annoyed as the club should be setting themselves extremely high standards.
"Here [in England] the football is like a religion. When you play, you can feel the love and that gives you another energy to push yourself," he told Arsenal TV Online.
"It is hard for them [Arsenal fans]. They want us to play well first, but to win trophies at the end.
"Even when I walk on the street and see some Arsenal fans, they are really, really disappointed when we lose games and don't win trophies.
"They are used to winning trophies every year. Now we have not won any trophy for six years, which is really hard for them."
And Diaby added that being a player at the North London club has it's everyday pressures
"Every day you have to prove you are one of the best. You are training with the best players in the world. You always have to push up your level and be better every day," he said.
