Fans of Arsenal and AFC Bournemouth expected the worst when on-loan midfielder Jack Wilshere came off with an injury in the Cherries' 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Monday night.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old has managed to avoid serious injury and could be available for the Cherries' next league game against West Bromwich Albion on Feb 25.

The England midfielder, who has a long history of injuries, has been one of the best players in Eddie Howe's side in his loan spell from the Gunners this season.
