Arsenal's Adebayor, Fabregas and Eduardo all on verge of return

Arsenal will regain goalkeeper Manuel Almunia and defender Mikael Silvestre is available but three key players are still on the recovery list.

Alumina suffered an ankle injury in last weekend's 4-0 rout of Blackburn but looks set to take his place against Newcastle on Saturday whilst former Manchester United man Silvestre will be ready for the clash at Emirates Stadium.

However, attacking duo Emmanuel Adebayor and Eduardo plus skipper Cesc Fabregas are still regaining fitness from respective injuries as pointed out by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

"Almunia could be back," Wenger told Arsenal TV Online.

"He had a good training session today so it looks like he will be available.

"Fabregas and Eduardo have come back into full training today but I think they will be short for Saturday.

"It is the first time back for Cesc. He is physically fit but he needs a few training sessions. So it will be after the international break for him.

"Silvestre is fit and available but Adebayor is not ready."
