Arsenal have joined the race for Wolfsburg fullback Ricardo Rodriguez.
Kicker says the Gunners have been cleared to snap up the 23-year-old due to a £19m (€25m) release clause in his Wolfsburg contract.
Academy chief Andries Jonker is responsible for Arsenal's interest after working with Rodriguez during his time as Wolfsburg's assistant manager.
Arsenal face competition from Manchester United for Rodriguez with Spanish news outlet Fichajes claiming he is also on the Red Devils' radar.
Rodriguez has made a big impression for Wolfsburg since joining from FC Zurich in 2012.
