Arsenal risk losing Van Persie AND Walcott with no January market work

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger risks breaking up his squad by not strengthening this month. The London Evening Standard says it seems likely Arsenal will not sign anyone this month with Wenger entrusting the responsibility of finishing in the top four to his current squad.

Champions League football is a minimum requirement to ensure contract talks run smoothly with Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott, who has 18 months left on his current deal, while Marouane Chamakh is expected to made surplus to requirements in the summer.
