Arsenal have been boosted with the news that Cesc Fabregas's injury is not as bad as first feared. The Gunners skipper was taken off with a hamstring injury in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor sparking fresh worries in the club's injury-hit season.
But Sportsmail can confirm that Fabregas has not torn his hamstring and will be back in action for the key festive period.
The Spanish midfielder is still expected to miss Saturday's match with Hull at the Emirates but he may be back in contention for the crunch clash with high-flying Aston Villa on December 27. They then face Portsmouth three days later.
