Arsenal have rejected an approach from Cardiff City to take Aaron Ramsey on a new loan deal.
The 20-year-old midfielder spent a successful month-long loan at his first club in January.
Cardiff boss Dave Jones said: "I spoke to Arsenal and Pat Rice and I tried everything to get Aaron back.
"But he is a good player and they want to keep him."
