Jens Lehmann's return to Premier League action could be short-lived with reports that Wojciech Szczesny is set to return to the Arsenal first team this weekend.
The Polish goalkeeper has been sidelined since the Gunners' Champions League exit at the hands of Barcelona on March 8 after he dislocated a finger early in the contest at the Nou Camp.
Arsene Wenger quickly installed Manuel Almunia as his number one until the Spaniard was injured during the warm-up prior to the match at Blackpool last Sunday, allowing Lehmann to make his first top flight appearance since May 2008.
The German performed well against the Seasiders despite conceding a goal but it seems likely that he will be displaced as Szczesny has proved his fitness and is in line for a start against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
