Arsenal ready to sell Ramsey to help fund Emery market plans

Arsenal are ready to sell Aaron Ramsey to help fund a move for Sevilla midfielder Steven Nzonzi.

The Daily Mail says Gunners boss Unai Emery has spent his £70million budget and will have to sell to snap up Nzonzi - with Ramsey emerging as his most saleable asset.

It would be a big gamble to replace the popular and talented Welshman with former Blackburn midfielder Nzonzi.

But Emery worked with the French World Cup winner at Sevilla and knows what he can bring to a team.

Nzonzi will cost at least £25m - and with Ramsey yet to pen a new deal at the Emirates, he may be the one they look to offload.

The Arsenal midfielder has an offer of a new five-year deal at the Emirates, but that so far remains unsigned.
