Arsenal are ready to bid for Mainz starlet Abdou Diallo.

The Sun says Diallo is wanted by Arsenal in January.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger declined to bolster the heart of his defence last summer.

However, the Frenchman is looking to address the situation in January with the 21-year-old French kid keen to move to England, according to Goal.

Wenger is no stranger to signing Bundesliga talent with Granit Xhaka and Sead Kolasinac making the move to the Emirates from Germany.

Mainz have struggled in the German top flight this season, but the Gunners scouts have seen enough to know Diallo could be a future hit in England.
