Arsenal to put aside FA Cup to focus on Champions League - Podolski

Lukas Podolski says Arsenal will put the FA Cup final to the side in order to focus on securing a top-four finish in the Premier League.

The Gunners came from behind to defeat West Ham United 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night, courtesy of a Podolski brace, to return to fourth on the table.

On the weekend, Arsenal progressed to the final of the cup which will be played against Hull City next month but Podolski was preferring to concentrate on their remaining four league fixtures as they chase a Champions League spot for next season.

"The FA Cup is after the season. We'll leave that for the moment and focus on the Premier League," he told Sky Sports.

"Everyone wants to play in the Champions League because of the atmosphere, the matches are amazing and they are important for the club as well.

"Every player wants to play in the Champions League, but we must understand that we have hard matches to come - we play away at Hull City and Norwich. It's not easy but if we win all of our matches we'll qualify."
