Arsenal are believed to be close to securing the services of Southampton starlet Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The highly-rated teenager is being chased by a couple of big clubs - namely Manchester City, Liverpool and Newcastle United - but it seems as though the Gunners will win the race for his signature.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed that the 17-year old midfielder had chosen the North London club and was confident the £10million deal would be completed soon.
"I think, if that is right, that is a very good decision," said Wenger. "We will try now.
"We need an agreement with Southampton, we need an agreement with the player, and we are not the only ones on the case. But we try as hard as we can as I like him as a player."
