Arsenal push Lyon to agree Gourcuff loan arrangement
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Sun, 10/16/2011 - 09:57
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is preparing a new offer for Olympique Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff.
The Daily Star Sunday says Wenger will make a cheeky bid to take Gourcuff on loan to Arsenal in January ahead of securing a permanent deal for the Lyon star.
The Gunners chief had a £20m bid for the playmaker turned down in the summer but remains resolute in landing his No.1 target.
The fee is a stumbling block and Wenger is keen to bring the midfielder, 25, to the Emirates before thrashing out a deal.
“Arsene wants the player but is aware of his injuries,” said an N5 source. “A loan period could solve all the problems for all parties. It is now up to Lyon.”

@ Anonymous Mon, 10/17/2011 - 19:15 u r a real muppet. why do you click on Arsenal news just to talk bad about them. Now 25 is too old for Arsenal? you r very funny especially after Wenger has purchased players like Merta, Arteta, and Arshavin. 25 is the Perfect age for Arsenal seeing that they have youngsters like Chamberlain, Campbell, Ryo, Walcott, Jenkinson, Frimpong, Coquelin, Miguel, Gibbs, Ramsey, Wilshere, and Sczezny(19-22) all coming into the fold so young. RVP, Merta, Arteta, Santos, Sagna, Arshavin, Chamakh, and Rosicky all have great experience(27-31). Gervinho, Vermaelen, Song, Koscielny, and Diaby are all between the ages of 24-26. Arsenal are at the point that they need players from 24-29 if u would take a look at their roster, but u r not lookin to spew logic. U want to talk down on a team that is globally respected for their football philosophy and integrity to not spend beyond their means. Typical muppet.
It does make me laugh every time I hear ARSEnal fans giving it all the bullshit about the £50mill Wenger supposedly has to spend. This dude is supposedly worth £20mill, yet they're still pissing about trying to sign him on loan. Somebody, somewhere is telling porkies and my money's on the Arsenal board.
Why would a good player want to go to arsenal? Besides,
he's too old and expensive for arse. The nationality is right,
but the age is 5 years too old.
