Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is pushing to sign West Ham United midfielder Momo Diame this week. The Mirror says Diame is keen on a move to the Emirates and it will now come down to whether the deal can be agreed in the next few days.

Wenger is desperate to add some physical strength and power to his midfield, and 6ft 1in powerhouse Diame fits the bill.

Arsenal do have some doubts about whether the Senegal is good enough defensively but they feel £3.5m could be worth the gamble.
