Arsenal youngster Jay Emmanuel-Thomas says his loan at Doncaster Rovers was ideal for him.
Emmanuel-Thomas explained that Doncaster's style of play made them a perfect club to continue his development with.
"My first loan [at Blackpool] was really a taster for me," he told arsenal.com. "I played sometimes in the midfield, sometimes on the right and sometimes on left.
"My second loan was much, much better. I was more of a target man up front.
"I scored five goals for Doncaster and it was going really well, so I want to keep that up.
"It was a very good club where they played very good football, so it was a good club for me to go to. To know I've left Arsenal for another team who plays good football was good for me.
"Obviously Arsenal's style is a bit different. It's a bit more high-tempo, shorter and sharper. But they do reflect Arsenal's style of play."
