Arsenal are planning a January bid for Basel star Fabian Schar. The Daily Star says Schar has been in great form for the Swiss side this season, including an impressive performance during the team's Champions League 2-1 away win against Chelsea.

Sources in Italy claim the centre-back is a priority target for Inter Milan, but are now at risk of being trumped by big spending Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.
