Arsenal are keeping tabs on Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud.

The Mirror says the Gunners had scouts watching the Montpellier forward during the Ligue 1 club's 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.

Scouts from Bayern Munich and Napoli are also reported to have been at the match assessing Giroud.

The 25-year-old has been in top form this season, grabbing 20 goals in 27 matches for Montpellier.

Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi confirmed the Gunners were keen on Giroud a fortnight ago.

"He's one of those we're looking at. It is impossible not to watch him after his development in the past two years," the former Arsenal defender.
